About Aslan Interactive

Since 2003, we've built and run business-critical web applications for organizations that can't afford downtime. Today we work agent-first — senior engineers directing AI coding agents — and it's made us faster without making us different.

Our Story

Aslan Interactive was founded on a simple principle: technology should solve real business problems, not create new ones. For over two decades, we've partnered with organizations that understand the value of practical, measurable outcomes.

We go deepest in two worlds we've served for decades: music & IP publishing and licensing — catalogs, royalties, rights, and subscription platforms — and automotive B2B, where loyalty, retention, and wholesale programs live or die on operational accuracy. Several of our clients have worked with us for 20 years—not because they're locked in, but because we've proven ourselves as trusted partners who understand their business, anticipate challenges, and deliver consistent results.

We've always been a custom development shop, and we still are. What's changed is how we build: our senior engineers now direct AI coding agents through the work, which means we ship in weeks what used to take quarters — with every line human-reviewed. And when AI belongs inside your product — chat, intelligent intake, agent APIs — we build it with the guardrails and logging that keep it trustworthy. When it doesn't belong, we say so.

And we quote everything. Every piece of work gets a written price you approve in our client portal before we begin — so the invoice is never a surprise, because you signed off on it weeks ago.

Our Founders

Paul Eident

Paul Eident

Co-Founder & Platform Architect

Paul brings over 25 years of experience building and operating business-critical digital platforms. His background spans full-stack development, platform architecture, and operational leadership for organizations ranging from startups to enterprise clients.

Throughout his career, Paul has focused on creating sustainable, maintainable systems that teams can actually operate and evolve over time. He's particularly passionate about responsible AI integration, ensuring that new technologies deliver measurable business value rather than adding complexity for its own sake.

Paul's approach emphasizes clear communication, thorough documentation, and building systems with long-term ownership in mind. He believes the best technical decisions are the ones that still make sense five years later.

Jason McKinney

Jason McKinney

Co-Founder & Technical Director

Jason has spent over two decades building resilient, scalable platforms for organizations with complex technical requirements. His expertise spans system architecture, infrastructure design, security implementation, and leading distributed engineering teams.

Jason's strength lies in translating business requirements into technical roadmaps that balance immediate needs with long-term sustainability. He's worked across industries including healthcare, finance, and education—environments where reliability and security are non-negotiable.

He's particularly focused on building systems that operations teams can actually maintain and monitor effectively. Jason believes that the best architecture is one that makes problems visible early and gives teams clear paths to resolution.

Our Distributed Team

We've been remote-first since before it was common. Our team is distributed across multiple time zones, which gives us several advantages:

  • Extended coverage: Issues don't wait for business hours. Our distributed structure means we can respond faster when problems arise.
  • Deep expertise: We hire senior engineers regardless of location, giving us access to specialized talent that might not be available in a single geography.
  • Documentation culture: Remote work forces us to document decisions, processes, and systems thoroughly—which benefits our clients and makes handoffs smoother.
  • Async-first communication: We're thoughtful about meetings and prioritize clear written communication, reducing interruptions and improving focus.

Our team members have worked together for years—some for over a decade. This institutional knowledge and trust is something we bring to every client engagement.

What We Value

Long-Term Partnerships

We measure success in years, not projects. Several clients have worked with us for two decades because we've earned their trust through consistent, reliable service.

Technical Honesty

We tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. If something won't work, we explain why and suggest alternatives.

Operational Excellence

Building software is only half the job. We focus on making systems that can be monitored, maintained, and improved over time.
