We build the platforms that license content — and pay the people who made it.
For publishers, licensing agencies, and royalty funds whose business runs on a catalog of rights. Custom-built to how your rights actually work, delivered AI-first, and run in production by the senior team that built it.
Building and running licensing platforms since 2003 — including ONE LICENSE, GIA Publications, and School Music License.
Your catalog grew. Your platform didn't.
License and permission requests arrive by form, email, and phone — and someone re-keys every one.
Royalty runs live in spreadsheets that two people know how to operate.
Rights holders can’t find what they’re owed, and the unclaimed balance keeps growing.
Your storefront, payee portal, and catalog don’t talk to each other — so month-end is reconciliation.
The system the whole business depends on runs on technology nobody wants to touch.
If two of those are true, you've outgrown your platform — not your team.
One platform, from license request to royalty statement.
Replace the forms, spreadsheets, and bolted-on portals with a system built around how licenses, usage, and money actually move through your organization.
Self-service licensing
Licensees find the work, choose the use, get a price, and pay — no quote-and-email round trip. Annual, per-use, reprint, and performance licenses in one flow.
Usage reporting & matching
Licensees report what they used; the platform matches it to your catalog and flags what it can’t. AI handles the messy matches — a person approves them.
Royalty calculation & statements
Splits, rates, and territories modeled the way your agreements actually read — and statements rights holders can open, understand, and download.
Rights-holder portals & unclaimed funds
Self-serve registration, claims, payment details, and a searchable unclaimed-funds lookup, so money reaches the people it belongs to.
Catalog & rights data
One source of truth for works, contributors, rights, and permissions — cleaned up once and kept clean.
Integrations
Accounting, payments, e-commerce, DAM, CRM, and the industry data feeds you already depend on.
AI that earns its keep
We build AI into your platform where it pays off — and keep it out of the parts that need a person.
Usage-report matching
Fuzzy titles, misspelled composers, and partial data matched to your catalog — with confidence scores and human review.
Request triage
Incoming permission requests classified, priced, and routed; routine ones drafted for a person to approve.
Catalog cleanup
Duplicate works, inconsistent metadata, and missing contributors found and fixed in bulk.
Rights-holder support
An assistant that answers “where’s my statement?” from real data — and hands off to your staff when it should.
Agent-ready APIs
Let licensees’ own AI assistants search, license, and report through scoped, secure APIs and MCP — the same way our own client portal works today.
Guardrails, always: every AI decision is logged and reviewable, and nothing touches a payment without a human. How we do responsible AI →
We already speak rights.
Most agencies spend the first two months learning what a split sheet is. We've been building and running licensing and royalty platforms for more than twenty years.
Churches, schools, and organizations licensed through the ONE LICENSE platform we build and run
Member publishers paid from reported usage across a catalog of 265,000+ songs
Uptime through every renewal-season peak
Of support reps run all of ONE LICENSE day to day, on the admin tools we built
ONE LICENSE
Blanket licensing for congregational music. We built the application from the ground up in 2003 and still run it: license sales, weekly usage reporting, royalty statements, the member-publisher portal, and a public API — across the US, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. A handful of support reps operate the whole service on admin tools we built.
Read the case study →School Music License
Lets schools legally stream arts and athletics events with copyrighted music — 10 million songs from 10,000+ participating publishers, including the major music publishers. We built the platform in 2022 and run it end to end: licensing, usage reporting, and reporting to labels and publishers.

The platform team since 2003 for a major music publisher's physical and digital catalog — commerce, digital delivery, copyright protection, and apps.

It starts with a fixed-fee assessment, so you know what's worth building before you commit to building it.
Licensing Platform Assessment
We map your license-to-royalty workflow end to end, review the code and infrastructure, and hand you a scored risk register and a 90-day plan with written quotes.
Build in phases
Senior engineers direct AI coding agents and review every line. We replace the riskiest piece first and run old and new side by side until the numbers match.
We run it
On-call, patching, incidents, and weekly ops reports written by a human. Your platform is never an orphan.
Keep improving
Every change is quoted in our client portal and approved before work starts — and the invoice matches the quote.
Priced by the job, not the hour.
You run a business where every license has a price and every royalty has a statement. Your technology partner should work the same way.
Every piece of work is quoted
An itemized written quote before anything starts, with optional items you can add or skip. Approve, decline, or ask for a revision in our client portal.
The invoice matches the quote
No hourly meter and no month-end surprises. See completed, scheduled, and recurring work month by month, your outstanding balance, and every invoice.
Every task, visible
Follow each request from quote to sign-off, with comments, attachments, and a full history. Your team, and even your AI assistant, can file requests. Only you can approve.

Questions we hear
We’re a small team. Is custom software realistic?
Yes — agent-first delivery is what makes it realistic at your size. We work in phases, and the assessment tells you what’s worth building and what isn’t.
Why not buy off-the-shelf royalty software?
Sometimes you should, and we’ll tell you so. Most organizations we meet have rights rules the packages can’t express, and end up running the package and the spreadsheets.
Can you work with our existing system instead of replacing it?
That’s usually where we start: stabilize it, wrap it with APIs, and replace pieces only when it pays off.
Is our rights and royalty data safe with AI involved?
AI features are scoped, logged, and human-reviewed. Your data isn’t used to train anyone’s model, and no AI decision moves money on its own.
You work with other publishers. What about confidentiality?
Each client’s code and data stay theirs. We never reuse one client’s code or data for another.
